CES 4th Grade
3-D paper sculptures
On Friday, November 3, 2017, I, along with Cindy Smith (HLES), presented this lesson plan at the New Mexico Art Education Association Conference in Roswell, NM to art instructors from throughout the state. I developed and implemented this STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Math) lesson plan for 4th grade students at CES. Using basic paper units, students worked cooperatively in groups of 3 or 4 to construct 3-D structures with inspiration from viewing the structures of artist, Sol Lewitt. I used these photos of CES student work in the presentation.
